Classic summer on Mallorca

This time we would like to draw your attention to the classical music concerts in Mallorca, which offer you an unforgettable experience.

On the one hand there is the Chopin Festival in Valldemossa. There in the abbey (Cartoixa de Valldemossa) every Sunday in August from August 7th. piano concerts.

The tickets cost 30€, but you can also sit for 20€ without seeing the pianist in the garden of the abbay and enjoy the piano music there in the moonlight on a warm summer night. The concerts start at 10 p.m. It is a good idea to explore Valldemossa beforehand or to have dinner in one of the restaurants. My recommendation is LA POSADA a small restaurant with a fantastic view of the mountains.

Every first Tuesday of the month there is a free organ concert in the Santa Eulalia church in Palma at 11am. So, save the 02/08/2022 at 11:00 (Iglesia de Sta. Eulàlia).

Summer concerts by the Balearic Symphony Orchestra – The open-air cycle “Estius Simfònics” by the Balearic Symphony Orchestra takes place in its accustomed place: in the courtyard of the Castell de Bellver, for chief conductor Pablo Mielgo not only a place with history, but also with great acoustics.

With Jan Lisiecki, Mielgo and his managing director Pere Malondra have another ace up their sleeve that has received many international awards. At the age of 27, the Canadian pianist of Polish descent, who is signed to the renowned label Deutsche Grammophon, has already recorded nine albums.

On Friday, August 12, he will perform the final concert of the 2022 Symphonic Summer – with Piano Concertos Nos. 4 and 5 by Ludwig van Beethoven.

A concert performance of the Donizetti opera “Lucia de Lammermoor” is on the program on Wednesday, August 3, and a week later there will be a gala with singers from the Zurich Opera House.

Tickets for the regular concerts cost 25 and 30 euros and are available in stores.
